What we do:

Pure IT Recycling Ltd is licensed by the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) to collect and dispose of all electrical equipment in compliance with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) and the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directives. Our processes enable over 95% of the components to be recycled or re-used.

Upon collection, we will issue you with a Waste Transfer Note for all your electrical waste and a Hazardous Waste Consignment Note for your Hazardous Waste (refer to collection page for a list of hazardous items.) These 2 documents will transfer the legal responsibility of your waste on to us.

Why we do this:

As a company, it is your responsibility under the WEEE Directive to make sure that your computer and electrical equipment is disposed of responsibly through a licensed recycler and that you are issued with a Waste Transfer Note detailing the waste collected.

Furthermore, under the RoHS Directive it is your responsibility to ensure that items such as CRT Monitors, UPS, TVs and Batteries, must again be recycled through a licensed recycler. In addition to being issued a Waste transfer note you must also be issued with a Hazardous Waste Consignment note from (SEPA).
